Welcome to Mooseport

Former US president Monroe Cole, played brilliantly by Oscar winner Gene Hackman, has retired after two terms in office and decides to return to his hometown of Mooseport. Shortly after his arrival he decides to run for Mayor against another local candidate, plummer Handy Harrison, played by Ray 'Everybody Loves Raymond'\n Romano. President Monroe is somewhat perturbed that he is going head-to-head with the man who installed his toilet and begins a dirty tricks campaign against his opponent - which gets out of control when he starts wooing the handyman's fiancee...
