A Message to Our Customers:

Dear Fox DVD Customer,

On August 14th 2006, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment (TCFHE) began a voluntary recall of approximately 8,000 charms and charm bracelets that were manufactured in China and distributed throughout the U.K. from August 7th 2006. These silver-coloured charms and bracelets were a "Gift with Purchase" to consumers, included inside the DVD box of certain Shirley Temple movies. These specific DVDs were packaged in distinctive pink boxes, which had stickers showing the charm(s) and bracelet(s) that were inside the box.

Once TCFHE learned of a potential hazard posed by the charms, the company immediately contacted Trading Standards and took steps to effect this voluntary recall. We are extremely grateful that there are no injuries reported relating to these charms.

As part of this recall, TCFHE is working cooperatively with Trading Standards to reach consumers through a variety of means including news releases, media reports, an 0845 telephone line, websites, in-store posters and direct contact. The company has alerted its retailers, to make sure they are aware of the recall and the appropriate recall procedures.
