When a young American tourist, Archer (Frank Whaley) meets Lena (Natalya Negoda), a mysterious beauty with an attitude, his Russian adventure descends into chaos. Clouded by his feelings, Archer does not realise she has stolen a pricless work of art, and as events spin out of control, the tourist finds himself without a passport, accused of murder, hunted by police, and pursued by Kurilov (Roman Polanski) a ruthless smuggler.
